Willnae LaCroix, Esq. is a devoted wife, mother, attorney, business owner, and proud resident of the City of North Lauderdale for over 23 years. She is a woman of faith who openly shares her love for God and credits her relationship with Him as the foundation of her strength, resilience, and commitment to serving others with integrity and purpose.

Willnae’s life is a testament to perseverance, determination, and faith.

​

At just 13 years old—only days before her 14th birthday—she experienced an unimaginable tragedy, losing two nieces and two nephews in a devastating house fire. Just nine days later, her mother passed away in a burn unit. Despite this profound loss, Willnae chose strength over circumstance and made a decision that her future would not be defined by hardship, but by purpose.

At 17 years old, she became a mother and committed herself to building a better life—not only for her child, but for her entire family.

​

As one of 15 siblings, Willnae became the first in her family to graduate from college, continue on to obtain a secondary degree, and earn a law degree. Her journey broke generational barriers and created a path for others to follow.

​

Because of her example, her siblings, daughter, nieces, and nephews have gone on to achieve success in their own right—becoming nurses, nurse practitioners, teachers, and serving in the United States military, including an officer in the Navy. Most recently, her niece graduated as valedictorian of her high school class, continuing a legacy of excellence she helped inspire.

​

For nearly 18 years, Willnae has served as an attorney, advocating for families and individuals during some of the most difficult times in their lives. She is the founder of The Legal Connection, A Law Firm, a multi-faceted practice handling family law, personal injury, and probate matters.

​

Since founding her firm in 2018, she has created jobs, mentored others, and built a reputation rooted in professionalism, compassion, and results. Through her work, she has provided countless hours of pro bono and reduced-fee legal services to families in need.

​

Her commitment to service extends far beyond the courtroom.

Each year, Willnae and her firm:

• Feed the homeless throughout Broward County

• Support foster homes and children

• Host annual turkey giveaways

• Provide backpacks and school supplies to families in need

• Partner with local businesses to provide free back-to-school haircuts

She has been with her husband—her high school sweetheart—for over 27 years and married for more than 16 years, building a strong foundation of family, faith, and commitment.

Willnae is running for Mayor At-Large because she believes the residents of North Lauderdale deserve leadership that is accountable, transparent, and focused on delivering results.

After years of hearing concerns from residents about rising costs, delayed projects, and a lack of transparency, she is stepping forward to bring a new level of leadership—one rooted in service, action, and community.
