WILLNAE LACROIX
FOR MAYOR OF NORTH LAUDERDALE
23-Year Resident. Dedicated Community Leader. Proven Action.
This Isn’t Just a Campaign. It’s a Movement.
What does a "Resident-First" City Hall look like to your family?
For 23 years, North Lauderdale has been my home. I am a wife, a mother, an attorney, and a small business owner—not a career politician. I learned early the values of faith, hard work, and resilience.
At 14, I survived a tragic house fire that took my mother, two nieces, and two nephews. At 17, I became a young mother. I chose to rise, becoming the first in my family to graduate from college and earn a law degree. For over 27 years, I have stood side-by-side with my high school sweetheart and husband of 16 years, building a life rooted in service.
While career politicians launch anonymous social media attacks and critics complain in meetings without solutions—I have been doing the work.
"True service doesn’t need to be showboated. When you do good for the right reasons, you do it out of love for your community, not for a photo op or political leverage. Real impact speaks for itself."
23 Years of Living, Serving, and Giving Back:
Through my law firm and my own pocket, I have actively funded our community:
🎄 Bringing Holiday Joy: Providing annual Christmas gifts to children in need right here in North Lauderdale and throughout Broward County.
🏈 Investing in Our Youth: Sponsored uniforms, equipment, and registration fees for the North Lauderdale Panthers as well as local middle and high school football and cheer teams.
💸 Lifting Financial Burdens: Personally paid for children to participate in sports and activities when their parents could not afford the costs.
🎒 Supporting Education: Provided free back-to-school haircuts, youth hair braiding, backpacks, and supplies annually.
🏠 Protecting Families: Personally funded emergency hotel stays for homeless mothers with young children and supported local foster homes.
⚖️ Access to Justice: Delivered extensive free and reduced-fee legal services independently and through Legal Aid.
🦃 Feeding Neighbors: Hosted annual turkey giveaways, fed the homeless, and sponsored annual parent appreciation events.
🚓 Standing with Heroes: Backed the Broward County BSO Benevolent Fund to support police officers and their families.
Real Solutions. Absolute Accountability.
Our current city leadership takes care of himself while regular families struggle. When I am elected Mayor, the self-serving perks stop on Day One.
🛑 Stopping the Waste & Auditing the Books:
Voluntarily Slashing My Salary: I will cut the Mayor's inflated ~almost $70k part-time salary down to $28k–$30k.
Demanding a Full City Audit: I will order an immediate independent audit of the entire city budget to eliminate hidden waste.
Eliminating Insider Tech & Travel Perks: I will completely cancel the $30,000 discretionary budget and stop family cell phone plans.
Refusing Free Healthcare: I will refuse free city insurance because politicians shouldn't get a free ride while employees pay.
Cutting the Car Allowance: I will slash the bloated $800 monthly car allowance in half to a standard $400.
