Our Vision: A North Lauderdale for the Neighbors, Not the Politicians.

North Lauderdale is a city of hard-working families, not a playground for political perks. My vision is to build a city where your tax dollars are treated with respect, where housing help is a guarantee rather than a lottery, and where City Hall is accountable to you, not the other way around.
1. Leading by Example:
Fiscal Integrity First Recent decisions to triple official salaries have placed North Lauderdale far ahead of neighboring cities in terms of political compensation.
As your Mayor, my first act will be to:
Roll Back the Raise: I will move to reduce the Mayor’s salary from $68,800 back to a level consistent with similar Broward municipalities.
Eliminate Excessive Perks: I will cut the $9,600 annual car allowance, ensuring that public funds are redirected toward community services like road repairs and public safety.
Independent Salary Review: I will propose an independent board to set future compensation, so politicians never again vote on their own raises.
2. Fixing the Housing Backlog (HMP 2.0) The current Home Mitigation Program (HMP 2.0) is leaving too many behind. I will clear the 800+ person waiting list by:
• Ending the "Lottery" System: Replacing random selection with a prioritized list based on need, senior status, long term residents and safety risks
• Diversifying Funding: Moving beyond one-time federal grants to find sustainable, long-term funding sources for home rehabilitation.
• Transparency Dashboard: Launching a public portal where you can track your application status in real-time, ending the 30-day "black hole" of information.
3. Smart Investments in Essential Services:
While officials' salaries rose, our city's basic needs remained.
My administration will prioritize:
Infrastructure & Utilities:
• Investing in our aging water and sewage systems and ensuring we are fully prepared for hurricane season.
• Competitive Pay for Frontline Workers:
• Ensuring our police, firefighters, and public works departments are paid fairly relative to the region, so we can attract and keep the best talent.
• Public Safety Upgrades: Continuing critical upgrades, such as the emergency power systems for our Fire Stations.
4. Investing in Our Youth:
Building Future Leaders. Our youth are the heartbeat of this city, but they need more than just "summer camp." I will expand our Parks and Recreation offerings to focus on long-term success.
• Youth Leadership Council: I will create a formal city council for high schoolers to advise City Hall on youth issues and earn community service hours.
• Career & Tech Partnerships: Partnering with local businesses and organizations like the Urban League of Broward County to provide mentorship, anger management, and employability skills workshops.
• Upgraded Youth Hubs: Ensuring our 150+ acres of parkland feature modern, safe spaces for after-school enrichment and "Kids Day Off" programs that support working parents.
5. Safety & Infrastructure for Every Neighborhood
A family-first city must be safe and functional.
Traffic & Roads:
• We will focus on "easy impact" fixes first, improving right-hand turn lanes and ensuring manholes don't stick 2 inches above the pavement.
• Supportive Services: Working with United Way of Broward to ensure our most vulnerable families have access to literacy and mental health resources.
